Animal Husbandry Selected into the "Double First-class" Construction List

　　 　　

On February 14, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Finance and the National Development and Reform Commission announced the second round list of "double-first-class" construction institutions of higher learning and disciplines. Animal Husbandry of the College was selected into the "double-first-class" construction list.

According to the monitoring and evaluation data of the first round units, the three ministries and commission finalized the new round construction universities and the disciplines in accordance with the areas in urgent need of the national strategy during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period determined by the Party Central Committee and the State Council, and in accordance with the principle of "overall stability, optimization and adjustment,"

The new list includes 147 colleges and universities. Among the construction disciplines, there are 59 basic disciplines such as mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology, 180 engineering, and 92 philosophy and social science. Twenty subjects from 8 colleges and universities of Shaanxi Province were selected. Plant Protection and Animal Husbandry of the University were selected successfully onto the list.
